Shoreline Hotel Waikiki

This boutique hotel is a little gem in the heart of Waikiki. Valet car parking is an excellent deal. You can go in and out as you need to for a flat daily fee. The employees greet you every time they see you. The coffee downstairs in the morning is delicious & complimentary. There’s a quaint café next door that even people that are not staying in the hotel come to visit for their delicious light meals. I would stay here again. I highly recommend it!

Giving this a 3 because the lobby is super cute and the staff is VERY welcoming. However, the room was not the best. The carpet was wet in many areas of the floor upon checking in; the towels left fluff all over the face + hair (had to request new sets); and the bar around the corner was super loud late into the night. Finally, each room has a 2 inch gap under the door to the hall, so you can literally hear everything in the hall, even if someone is walking by super quietly. The saving grace for this was the location and the free chairs/mats/umbrellas for the beach. I don't think I would stay again because I am such a light sleeper, but if you're not bothered by the noise, I'd defo recommend this as a great place to stay right on Waikiki beach!

A really nice boutique hotel located at the center of Waikiki near everything you need: the beach, restaurants, shopping, food stores, transportation, etc... During the winter the price of this hotel is quite high for what you get but so are all the other hotels in the area. If you want to stay in style in a small, colorful hotel, this is the place for you. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The view from my room was awful but it's a small hotel, so the views are not that great. If you don't like air conditioning and want to open the window, this isn't the hotel for you, it is loud outside!! However, with the window closed you can't hear the noise. I wish there was a coffee maker and microwave in the room but they compensate by offering coffee in the lobby daily. Overall, I'd recommend this hotel for style and friendliness.

We recently stayed for two nights and encountered a variety of experiences. Initially, there was a misunderstanding with our phone booking, leading to us being booked for one night instead of two. This caused us to pay a higher rate than initially quoted. On the positive side, the hotel facilitated an early check-in at no extra cost. The room, although small and subject to noise from an evening concert, was well air-conditioned. However, we did notice a damp smell. The $5 restaurant coupons were a nice touch, but it wasn't clear that they were intended for one per day, resulting in us not fully utilizing them. The hotel is conveniently located, but some amenities, like the microwave, are only available in the lobby and not in the rooms. Our interactions with the front desk staff were often brief and lacked warmth, which was disappointing and not reflective of the usual hospitality standards in the USA. However, there were exceptions: one staff member was extremely helpful in providing hot water from the lobby for our breakfast. Another employee also displayed a helpful attitude on another occasion, which was much appreciated. In conclusion, while our stay wasn't the worst, it also wasn't the best, especially considering the price of $400 for two nights.
